Every day is a new opportunity. My name is Torri and I believe this statement to the fullest. Everyday provides new possibilities for you to grow into the best you that you can be. Every day, you can make a difference, whether it be to your life or someone else’s.
I grew up in small town Wyoming enjoying everyday of it because of my big hearted little family. Growing up in a small town, I had to learn to appreciate the little things and inevitably I developed a wild imagination and sense for adventure.
In this blog, I want to talk about this development in my life and continue to share my adventures as I am lucky enough to experience them. I believe that you can have a fun-loving, adventure filled life while still
holding up responsibilities such as, career, finances, family, health, education, and much more. I don´t believe in excuses and I want to help you learn to feel this way, if you are interested.
For the last three years I have been in college in order to pursue a career in digital communications for health science fields. I admire non-profit organizations such as, International Medical Corps. and the Foundation for International Medical Relief of Children.
I dream to one day work for organizations with a similar purpose and promise for building international relationships.
It took me several semesters in college to figure out exactly what I wanted to do for a career. Things that inspired this dream are global and cultural classes, my volunteer groups, and personal hobbies. When it comes to my hobbies, remember what I said about appreciating the little things. I consider myself a curious person with many interests, and no limitations. If people weren’t able to find me one afternoon, or weekend, it would be a safe bet that I’m in the mountains hiking, fishing, camping, skiing, etc. with my friends. As I am writing this, I am about to go cross country skiing for the afternoon. Sometimes the perfect night is just standing around a camp fire for an hour talking with friends, like I was able to do last night. I can take my airsoft gun, set up a deck of cards in random places for a little target practice in order to be perfectly content. My point here is that there are so many things to do, no matter where you are and I love to take advantage of those things.
I want to explore these ideas in this blog and I really want to hear from you on how you feel about these idealisms. I love to share my stories as well as hear others stories, so please feel comfortable to get involved here:)
I hope you enjoy my blog!
